Hi there - it's 2012 now and the first Comp is in 2 weeks, so I have to go forward with my 2012 Comp rig. It will be a Berg again; the chassis is - as it should be for an Chaotic Teamdriver - the new Chaotic Special and the result of some very good discussions at the last Comp in Utah is, that I'll work a bit closer together with D-Lux; so this is the reason to place some of Eric's Custom Parts in my Berg. I don't know all the facts at the moment, but I built the chassis right now :rir3: For all the axle tests I have a prepared BJ V4.2 Carbon TE and will test everything with that; so I can figure out what's happen and can always compare with my 2011 Comp rig (this is for sale a bit later than). So be prepared, the show must go on... regards Dani
en french please i dont ender stand si c'est bien comme ca qu'on dit :blerp3: :wink3: :wink3: :wink3: :wink3:
can't wait !! Erik made some great part :yes3: and he's a cool guy !! if you sell your Bj4.2 soon (only the chassis) it can interested me :wink3:
here we go; it's easier for me to do it in English; je m'excuse :yeah3: First I'm going on with the rear axle; here the Stock Berg axle; used but in good condition: as you all know, we cannot build a crawler anymore without using a scale; so here we go: Stock gears all together: 58 gramms then my way 2012, 300-er 3-rd and 2-nd Gear, Chromoly Pins and Alu 4-th from RC-Bros: only 44 Gramm; that's 14 gramms less and much more bullet-proofment :yes3: then the gear case Stock: 47 gramms (0.8 gramms dirt is included) then after a bunch of time with milling, Dremel and handcrafted optimizing: only 34 Gramm; less 13 gramms again :yes3: then the axle tubes and the linkmounts; stock: 85 gramms I'm using the Delrin axle tubes from D-lux and the Link mounts too; all made of Delrin: together only 34 gramms; 51 gramms less and much more possibilties of variation :daumen: then I can go ahead with mount all the stuff: gear assembled, but last time grease-free: oh, the upper link mount is missing; first Stock: 9 gramms and the D-Lux one; nearly double as tall, much more possibilties to play with: 9 gramms too; but: better to use, so the weight is ok :yes3: lets go: all the D-Lux parts are a quit good quality and easy to mount: mounting the pins and the Hex: and then checking the weight of the assembled axle within the motor: 393 gramms; not bad for a berg axle :yes3: regards Dani
Looks pretty cool :yeah3: That's light . One thing.... WHAT'S this WEEL on the table and specially this white disc on it ??
Ca c'est une Egressor Wheel; avec une stabilisateur de Delrin. Pas quelque chose trés espécial... :mdr3: regs Dani
:wink3: Oh, I forgot to show that; of course there are Axlemasters Shafts inside :blerp3: Wanna have the same wheelnuts all around and the Super 300 in front have M5 :mdr3:
